Brigitte Grant is passionate about empowering individuals to succeed and reach their fullest potential. With more than 35 years of leadership experience in the nonprofit sector, higher education administration, and academic health sciences advancement, she brings a comprehensive, practical, and grounded perspective to her work. Brigitte began her career as a direct service provider working with youth, giving her firsthand insight into the full spectrum of the professional journey.

She brings transparency, openness, and a strengths-based mindset to her coaching. Guided by the philosophy that “the glass is more than half full,” Brigitte partners with clients to identify pathways forward, leverage their individual strengths, and own their narrative in ways that promote both personal and professional growth.

Brigitte has held roles including Vice Chancellor, Vice President, and Chief Development Officer within academic health sciences at four of the country’s largest public university systems - University of Texas, University of Tennessee, University of Illinois, and the University of Arkansas. In these positions, she played pivotal roles in leading comprehensive campaigns, organizational change, strategic initiatives, and key operational functions—consistently driving alignment, growth, and results. She has also mentored countless individuals over the last four decades.

Her presentations on women owning their narratives and addressing imposter syndrome have been widely and enthusiastically received.

Brigitte holds an MBA from Bradley University and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Psychology from Illinois State University. She is International Coaching Federation (ICF) trained and has completed Gallup CliftonStrengths coach training for individuals, managers, and teams. She is also the founder and principal of Self-Empowered Coaching.
